Backyard: B.Rich Make Me Dance EP

Former Boston DJ and producer B.Rich appears to have been quite busy since relocating to Philly, churning out tunes and mixes left and right. He raises the bar yet again on his brand spankin new Make Me Dance EP on Party Like Us which features 4 original tracks not only showcasing himself but several other local talents including Whiskey Pete and the vocals of Dominique. The title track is probably my favorite, with it's nod to 1989-esque hip house (complete with the pianos!) while juggling his signature bassline house sound over each verse. The electro synths blaze in Bump without letting them take emphasis away from the bass. The last two tracks flirt with the broken beats: It'll Be Alright is an upbeat, Latin-tinged affair, while Killin It still holds onto the vocals while kicking up the sub bass to a ten and stripping the beat down further to dubstep. A quality EP overall, and I'm sure there will be remixes floating about soon enough.
