Just spreading the word of a contest hosted by Lot 49 Recordings and sponsored by Native Instruments, Loopmasters, Wired Masters, and Soundcloud! Lot 49 is an imprint that has been gaining a lot of momentum over the past several years. Spearheaded by label bosses Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes, Lot 49 does not box itself into any one particular sub-genre, instead opting to showcase everything from techno to breaks, electro, house, and so on. 

Entering this contest is simple. Register on the Lot 49 Website (click on the Nu Lot competition button in the upper left corner). Make an original piece of dance music and submit it to Lot 49’s Soundcloud drop box. You have until December 1st to make your submssion; winner will be announced on December 14th. You may also submit up to three individual tracks.

14 finalists will get chosen, each of whom is guaranteed a release on an upcoming label compilation entitled “Nu Lot”. All finalists win a free subscription to a Soundcloud PRO yearly account, as well as 3 sample packs from the Loopmaster Artist series.

If you are a finalist, then your work will then get heard by not just Katie and Rhymes, but also Timo Maas, Orbital, James Zabiela, D.Ramirez, Steve Mac, and others. As a group, they will select one lucky finalist, who will not only receive a 3 EP deal on Lot 49, but also the entire Native Instruments Komplete 6 Series, The entire Loopmasters Artist and Origin sample CD’s, a Soundcloud PRO MAX free account, and Ableton Live 8!
