Thank you for your tips. I´m new at Soundcloud and registered there 3 days ago - starting from 0 is not easy and I´ll give it a try.
From my point of view (at the moment) the most valuable are the detailed comments (where you can see what exactly liked this person in the concerning track) that goes further than "nice track" (for example). As already mentioned you can never know what motivation has a follower exactly (but sure, followers look nice even though it reminds me of the facebook-"friends" and kind of collecting) I noticed that on other pages because the activity on my page is still meager.;-) I noticed also that there seems to be an unwritten rule - to give only positive comments but I think tastes and backgrounds are different and if there would be a constructive critism from another point of view (about the composition or mix) it could maybe help. But I´ll not break that rule to get on somebodys bad side.;-) I´ll listen the next time a lot of music from Soundcloud within the styles of music I like and I´ll comment if I like something special in a track (and saying what exactly I liked) to hope that there are anywhere people at Soundcloud that like also my music.

Thanks Fonetik! Not trying to act as if I'm Nostradamus or anything, but these were more just observations with what is happening. (Not necessarily what I WANT to see happen...like in the 2012 post where I talk about things like SOPA). Appreciate the feedback.

I actually think I remember you telling me about Gobbler a few months ago Drew; definitely might be beneficial for producers. As far as DJ-ing goes, I'm pretty excited for everything to be securely stored in the cloud. And beyond just laptops, I'm willing to bet Pioneer's higher end CDJ's will adopt this technology by adding wi-fi and an interface inside Rekordbox to access stuff stored remotely. The D-link (which enables one CDJ to read information off another nearby CDJ) is the first step in this direction.

While not so much for DJs, Gobbler is another cloud-service that's definitely aimed towards those that do more than just consume music. It's still a mac-only product at the moment but I hear they're working on a windows client. I use it religiously to store all my projects in Live & Logic. The tool scans your hard drive and automatically indexes any projects for pretty much any major DAW out there. Then you elect what should be backed up and what shouldn't. You can share your projects with other users which is great for collaborating and best of all, once a project is backed up, Gobbler automatically backs up all incremental versions going forward.
