Midweek Techno presents the Italoboyz, Phoenix Landing, 4.8.09

Minimal techno producers The Italo Boyz make their return to Boston! This production duo (who ironically, are not from Italy, but rather the UK) have been very busy lately, releasing loads of tracks digitally through labels such as Get Physical and Mothership, as well as embarking on a world tour spanning the course of the next several months. These guys have a knack for incorporating a variety of traditional forms of music, including jazz, classical, tribal/african, and (you guessed it) Italian. The traditional/worldly style sounds pretty neat juxtaposed against the chugging rhythms that also salute two geographic locations: Detroit and Chicago. Should be a dope night!
