DJ Dara Touches Down in Boston Tonight With An Old School Set 1.7.10
Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 8:57AM
One of the most eclectic and popular drum and bass DJ’s in the US makes a special stop in Boston tonight! DJ Dara is probably best known for his mix CD’s on moonshine from a decade ago, along with founding Breakbeat Science, and his membership in the planet of the drums collective with Dieselboy and AK1200. However he is well known for going a bit beyond playing just the hottest tunes of the past two weeks when he DJ’s out, oftentimes bringing little known and obscure tracks that still demolish dancefloors.
When he plays Elements he usually kicks off with some older breakbeat hardcore from the early 1990s at around 150 bpm, gradually increasing the tempo and recency with each successive record. Few have record collections that stack up to the tens of thousands in his crib, so come check out a true DJ tonight if drum and bass or breakbeat hardcore music is your thang!
