Soundcloud Meetup Pt. II & The Return of 2562, All At Goodlife, 2.16.11

2562 has been a pioneer at merging techno, house, and dubstep from the minute he put his hand in producing in the mid ‘oughties. His style and ability to seamlessly blend these multiple genres have influenced a variety of people, especially within the dubstep scene, to further explore different sounds and song structures. On the back of two very solid LP’s (2008’s “Aerial” and 2009’s “Unbalance”), he now has a springboard to do pretty much whatever the hell he wants. He also has been running his “Made Up Sound” side project, where he steadily releases straight up house joints as 12” singles.

This is the first time 2562 has been to Boston since early 2009. You can also check out Connecticut selector Slav on opening duties, along with up-and-coming Boston dubstep DJ Spliffolian. Early birds get in for $5 before 11!

Also, if you get to Goodlife super early, you will also get a chance to catch the Soundcloud Meetup as well. This is in continuation of the one that was held last week at Rise. Producers who wish to attend can bring CD’s to be played on the system (who doesn’t want to test run their joints on one of the hottest soundsystems in Boston?)

The meetup is FREE and starts at 7. It’s also ALL AGES, until 9pm. Then it goes to 21+.

GOODLIFE, 28 Kingston St. Boston
