Laidback Luke at the Middlesex This Tuesday, 9.29.09

This is going to be an awesome show! Laidback Luke has been very high on a lot of people’s wishlists of people to see play in Boston. With dozens of original productions and remixes released under his name in just the past two years alone, most notably his popular rework of Robin S’s “Show me Love”, it isn’t hard to see why. This is part 3 of Heartthrob’s 3 year anniversary celebration; a perfect way to end it off; the headliner being a great spokesperson for the main style of music they dig over at the Middlesex on tuesday nights. Looking forward to this myself and even took the day off for it!

This sunday at the Enormous Room! Scion returns with their monthly Metro installment, this time showcasing the talent of quickly rising electro producer Treasure Fingers (originally of Evol Intent fame!) as well as legendary house/garage producer Roy Davis Jr. As usual, you need to RSVP to this party to get in, which you can do here.

If you've been to any club in the past two years, then you've definitely heard this track by Treasure Fingers, which put him on the map:

Heartthrob- Udachi vs. Jubilee- Tomorrow 8.4.09!

If you don't know NYC dj/producer Udachi yet, get to know this Tuesday at Heartthrob! He's been upping his production game in a big way over the past year, working with B.Rich and AC Slater (amongst others) and his DJ sets always come across in a unique way through his mastery of seamlessly blending multiple genres at a variety of tempos into one set. And all that without making it sound all over the place or disjointed! As far as I'm aware this is the first time he's played in Boston too. Redfoxx, Baltimoroder, and Morgan Louis on opening duty. Middlesex Lounge, 9pm, 21+, 5 bucks.

Scion Metro TONIGHT at Enormous Room! Desigher Drugs, Pase Rock, etc.

Sorry for the late notice on this! Heartthrob is hosting another Scion Metro party tonight at Enormous Room. This is the second one to hit Boston, last month they brought Ewun (Kill the Noise) out to play and as always he tore it up! This installment features Designer Drugs, who is also returning from a set they played last month at Privus which is going to be a tough act to follow. Pase Rock, Hardy Boyz, Franki Chan, and Blu Jemz are also on tap.

This party looks great! Check out Portable Sunsets at flatflat.org as well as Pete Dev/Null, who is one of the most versatile DJ's and Producers in Boston. He runs a great blog that focuses on old skool breakbeat hardcore records, I highly recommend checking it out. And the Heartthrob lineup never fails to disappoint either. Check it out!
