DESIGNER DRUGS Designer Drugs (Michael Vincent Patrick and Theodore Paul Nelson) lead lifestyles of the rich and famous, but are really just poor boys who love helicopters and pop banger music…and a few other things that will not be noted. Currently, Designer Drugs is releasing new material with iheartcomix Records. They’ve also been found partying on the couch at the Iheartcomix office. With one member attending med school and the other drinking whiskey across the globe, to keep from going crazy last year - the DD boys produced over 23 remixes and DJ’d over 100 shows around the world. This year, to keep from going crazy, Designer Drugs is putting the focus on original material while continuing to tour the galaxy and party harder than ever.
Most recently, Designer Drugs released their single “Zombies! / Back Up In This” on Iheartcomix Records, in 2009 with Remixes by Nadastrom, Don Rimini, Le Castle Vania and Bird Peterson. Designer Drugs has also completed remixes for labels such as Kitsune, Dim Mak, Fools Gold, Warner Brothers, Ministry Of Sound, Hail Social, Iamsound, Etc Etc, Coco Machette and Calamity Jane for artists such as Little Boots, The Veronicas, Thieves Like Us, Treasure Fingers, Mariah Carey, Jupiter One, Heart’s Revolution, Mission Control, Hail Social, and IAMX.
Both members of Designer Drugs are mentally controlled by ELLE REX (www.ellerex.net), photographer of NYC’s sleaziest and most entertaining electro party - RUFF CLUB. MUSTARD PIMP Started mid 2008, MUSTARD PIMP is a french duo including Baron and eKa. Baron started 9 years ago DJing mostly acid and techno stuff. eKa was a former guitarist from a french metal band.They started to make diverses remixes and quickly got support from lot of artists, they already remixed officially CROOKERS, STEVE AOKI, STEED LORD, PARTYSHANK, A1 BASSLINE, LARRY TEE, DADA LIFE, STEREOHEROES, BRYAN COX, and a lot more to come shortly.
Mustard Pimps debut single Oh La La Satan is out on Crux Records in September 2008 on digital,quickly then they released in October their second EP Raging Blood on Idiot house records.Early 2009 they released their 3rd EP RER EP freely on internet.
In July 2009 ,Mustard Pimp signed on DIM MAK RECORDS, and their debut Single Cherry featuring Kali from Steed Lord will be released In September 2009.
Initially inspired with Metal and Rock music but also with every music theyve heard or played during their lives, Mustard Pimps music is unclassifiable, they actually use to experiment diverse styles in their tracks ,from House to Breakbeat,from Electro to Maximal
Mustard Pimp also already released more than 25 mixtapes since March 2008 and have a strong establishement in worldwide blogs,they already count on more than 100 000 download from them mixtapes, and approximatively the same amount of download for all the tracks they set free around internet.

If you were crazy busy yesterday like myself and didn’t have time to catch B.Rich play at the Middle East at the Reid Speed/True party (shit I didn’t even have time to post the flyer on here, let alone go)…well here is your second chance. There’s little that needs to be said about B.Rich other than this: buy advance tix, otherwise you ain’t getting in! This is one of the most talented producers in America right here, so it’s a guarantee it will sell out. E-Marce and Frank White at the helm for opening duty.
Last thursday was full of awesome, not only due to it being the first day of 2010 to hit 70 degrees, but also convenient on my end as some of my favorite producers right now played one block away from eachother. Here’s the pics I took at both parties:
Laidback Luke returns to Boston! He delivered to a full house when he played at Hearthrob last fall. There’s no doubt he will do the same a second time around at Throwed. Quick video of the end of his set from the fall:

Practically right next door to the Middle East is the Phoenix Landing, which will be hosting dutch DJ Martijn Van Sonderen, one piece of the highly sought after Dutch trio Noisia, tonight courtesy of Elements. This is the first Noisia appearance in Boston in more than three years, and anyone who listens to the genre should be familiar with their peak-hour dancefloor driven music, which has been hammered by the top dogs within the genre (Andy C, Goldie, Hype, etc.) for over half a decade. It’s sure to be a good set, and similar to Luke, a full house!

I’ve had the past few days off, so I’ve able to get out and about a lot this week, feels just like being a college student all over again! Here’s some pics of the parties I was at the past few days.
On Tuesday, October 27, On A Friday is giving you a dose of Boston’s freshest DJ talent in the form of a sexy, bloody mess. HAUNTED HAUS will be at the Enormous Room in Cambridge and will host the college DJs Nooka Jones, Jason Bergman, and C & G, with visuals by Ryan McDaid.
The 21+ party is FREE and will go from 9 to 1 AM.
There are many DJ nights in Boston that offer the same show every week, with few surprises and standardized sets. Haunted Haus will be a different kind of show, featuring fresh, diverse sets from each of our college DJs (our talent represents Northeastern, Boston University, Boston College, and Berklee). The night will have some Halloween spice tastefully thrown in… who knows, we might even have some candy blood.
